WEST HARTFORD, Conn., June 6 A teenager who had been missing for a year was found alive, locked in a hidden room in a West Hartford, Conn., home.
Police said charged Adam Gault, 41, of West Hartford, with unlawful restraint, reckless endangerment, custodial interference and other charges. Ann Murphy, 40, who lived at the same house, was charged with conspiracy.
Police found the girl Wednesday in a small hidden room under a staircase in Gault's home. Access to the room had been blocked by a cabinet, WNBC, New York, reported.
Police said the 15-year-old girl had been taken into protective custody and was undergoing medical examination.
