JAKARTA (Antara): An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale rocked Maluku province at 8:01 a.m., a meteorological and geophysics agency (BMG) said Sunday.
Epicenter of the quake was traced at 6.56 degrees south latitude and 128.11 degrees east longitude and was located 325 kilometers west of Ambon, the capital of Maluku province, it said Sunday.
The quake's epicenter was also located 375 km below the sea level.
There was no immediate report on casualty and material loss.
An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale jolted neighboring North Maluku province at 2:27 a.m. also on Sunday.
