The decision was made by the two sides when Solana called Larijani on Tuesday afternoon, said the report.
The two diplomats also stressed the "need for the achievement of a logical and legal solution to Iran's nuclear issue through diplomatic means", IRNA added.
Solana has said one day before in Brussels that he would "probably meet with Larijani at the end of this month".
Larijani and Solana held the first round of talks in Ankara onApril 25 to 26 since the resolution was issued.
The UN Security Council passed resolution 1747 to impose tougher sanctions against Iran nuclear and missile programs, demanding Tehran to suspend uranium enrichment work in 60 days or face further consequences.
Iran has denied the request for many times. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad declared on April 9 that his country's nuclear fuel production entered the scale of "industrial level".
